I photographed these architects almost a year ago and I am finally blogging their photos. We photographed on location, which means we didn’t photograph in studio. If I ever ask you if you want to shoot “on location” that means we will photograph somewhere outside, inside, your office, or anywhere.
We photographed these headshots at the Salt Lake Library. We shot in the late evening as the light was improving. We did a number of photographs in open shade and I brought my portable lighting kit along. Everyone looks better with some lighting added to the photograph. It looks great for the skin and fills in any lines, wrinkles, or texture that might distract from the portrait. And I spend a lot less time in Photoshop.
We started at the Salt Lake Library and then moved over to Washington Square. This gave use the chance for a variety of textures, backgrounds, and different looks. Especially since they are architects we could feature three to four different architectural feels in one photo shoot. We have the green glass, yellow concrete, and the classic building of the city county building.
