It has been a lot of fun working with Le Croissant Catering. They have certainly been growing these last few years and they have expanded into decoration, weddings, and now wedding cakes. They found a winner of Cupcake Wars to come and create and decorate wedding cakes. They hired me as a food photographer/wedding photographer to photograph a sample of wedding cakes. We picked the Garden Park Ward in Salt Lake City, Utah which is a beautiful location for portrait and engagement photography. We somewhat hijacked the area for these wedding cakes. We did call a head to make sure it was ok. And just so you know, we used faux champagne for the photographs. We wanted to create a fake toast and there is a strict no alcohol rule for this location.
I am going to feature a few of the cakes a few times. There were so many cool locations I just couldn’t pick one photograph per cake. I know I should really par it down to the best of the best—but they’re all awesome!
I brought along my portable lighting kit and a new softbox for this shoot and things worked perfectly. A little help from some of the Le Croissant people and we have some awesome photos for commercial advertising. Most of these are straight out of camera.
Now I just need to update my wedding marketing materials and get some copies over to Le Croissant. Woo hoo!
