Check out just some of the Utah Pride 2019 photographs I created this past weekend! You can find all my photos on my SmugMug site. I am sharing them for free—tell people about me!
This is the typical photograph that people would expect at Utah Pride. This year, I tried to photograph photograph families, people of color, and as many letters of the Alphabet Community that I could. Check out all the 1500+ photographs to see the diversity that is in Utah.
I also gambled on this event. I bought a new camera and I shot most the photographs with that new camera. I love the new camera. The photos turned out great, which is the best test.
And as a “gay Mormon” it warms my heart to see Mormons Building Bridges. BTW, I know the LDS church wants to avoid the term Mormon.
Mormons Building Bridges is a group of Latter-Day Saints who have gay, lesbian, or trans family and friends and they love and support them unconditionally. Yay!
This year I was feeling a bit overwhelmed with how many people were there. I try to find unique photographs. In reality, each person is unique, I just wish I had the time to tell everyones’ story!
I love this photograph. “Why so serious!” the Joker.
It’s Matt and Dustin with their tiny little family! I photographed their wedding a few years ago.
Check it’s Matt Easton, BYU Valedictorian, who came out to his college during his graduation speech. It was fun to meet, or at least photograph him, at Pride.
It is fun to see families at Utah Pride. Sometimes, you have know idea who the LGBTQ person is in the group, which is rather cool.
And on Saturday morning there was the Proud 5K race and yoga session. I photographed the whole weekend on sugar and jet lag after returning from Singapore. Now it’s time for bed!
