Turning Kids into Football Stars with Photoshop

by dav.d

These are some photographs I am particularly proud of. Most people never consider using Photoshop to it’s fullest potential… they use Photoshop to fix skin, flab, wrinkles, squinty eyes, and such. The real fun is to take a subject, in this case two little boys, and put them into a totally different location. We photographed Levi and Henry in their backyard wearing their favorite BYU Football gear. I then put them into Lavell Edwards Stadium, formerly Cougar Stadium.

The chances of getting access to BYU’s stadium or any stadium is slim at best. And then to try and hold a photo shoot there is even slimmer. So that is when Photoshop becomes our best friend. We could do something similar… dress up kids as astronauts and put them on the surface of the moon. I don’t have NASA’s budget, but I do have Photoshop. And these become timeless keepsakes for years to come. The kid’s grandchildren will ask them about the photos!

So I’ll be doing more creative portraits like this in the future. If you have an idea for a fun portrait, or want suggestions and a photo shoot, let me know. We can get really creative and fun and make a one of a kind photo/print that you can treasure.

And you don’t need to be a child for something like this… if you’re a grown up but still have the heart of a child or a wild imagination, we can create something for you. You don’t even need to work out.
