I’ve done a little bit of travel for my photography. I’ve been to D.C., Chicago, Pennsylvania, Vermont, California, and southern California. Some of these trips are over several days and others like this photo shoot were done in one day.
We met early in the morning and Nahúm actually rented a car to drive down to the Kanarraville creek area which is just south of Cedar City, Utah. It is about a 3 hour drive in one direction.
This photo shoot involved a lot of hiking and hiking through a creek that had a higher water level due to recent rains. This can be a potential hazard. Next time I do a hike like this I am buying a waterproof backpack to hold the camera gear. Nothing would be worse than to fall into the creek or fall backwards into the creek and lose gear due to water.
We would take photographs along the trail heading up to the slot canyons. We photographed by the different waterfalls while hiking. You gotta be in good shape for this kind of hike and photo shoot. I think the level of the water was significantly higher. Nahúm had been along this hike before and mentioned the water was higher than he has ever seen.
Spring is a wonderful time for photography. Winter is melting away and the green is blossoming. And we can brave the elements for outdoor photography.
