Tina wanted a number of different photographs. She wanted to have some photographs to represent her professionally, some for some fitness modeling, and even for online profiles. For each of these she had different outfits and even some props. We decide to photograph at the Exchange Place because there are some buildings that look like “ye olde style banks” and also some graffiti and some greenery.
She would run to her car to change outfits and we had everything from fashion, to business, and fitness. We spent about an hour photographing her portraits and headshots.
As a side note, while we were photographing Tina there were zombies walking around the block. Apparently this evening was the annual Zombie walk downtown.
I brought my portable lighting kit which helps women look fantastic for portraits. I use an umbrella or a softbox and it provides nice soft light for skin which adds a little bit of a glow to the skin and people look great.
For my portrait work I will do basic editing to make sure the color, exposure, and composition look right. I will then provide a gallery for clients to review and then, if they ask for it, I will retouch the photographs that are their favorites. I don’t retouch every photo because then I would be too expensive for people to hire me.
