What a difference 2 years makes! And it helps to be outdoors with nature and Wheeler Farm! And I have some new camera gear that helped get these photographs looking their best! I had photographed the Sutherland family in 2008 with older gear and indoors at the Utah State Capitol and the photographs then and the photographs now are night and day difference.
And I won’t discount practice. I have been practicing a lot since upgrading my camera gear. I have been photographing a lot more and a variety of subjects so my technique has improved immensely.
And the one lesbian couple now have 2 boys! Congrats! I am sure they are an handful and you love them much! And it is a good idea to get new photographs regularly to document the changes in your family over time.
The 2008 photo shoot had the intention of photographing at Wheeler Farm and due to weather we weren’t able to, however, this year the weather was perfect in September and we created some awesome photographs that I would love to keep in my portfolio.
And for these photographs I brought my new and improved portable lighting kit that helps people look their best. Who doesn’t want to look their best?! That would be nuts.
We walked around the farm and used several different locations. There is the Barn with a wagon, a tree that is perfect for large families to sit on. I have photographed here with another family.
And evenings are usually the best for photography at Wheeler Farm. The mornings would also work as well. Let’s just try and avoid the midday sun.
And I am grateful for the Sutherland family in selecting me to photograph their family again.
