This was such a big party it was spread over two nights! The folks at Fairchild are shuttering their Utah operations unfortunately, but they wanted to send their employees off with a big thank you party. The people at Le Croissant Catering were hired to decorate and cater the event.
The party was held at the Gateway’s Grand Hall for the Union Pacific Depot. The night had food, a band, cherries jubilee crepes and banana fosters crepes. There was gambling, poker, craps, blackjack, and it wasn’t for money so it was legal in Utah just in case the Feds ask questions. And there was beverages of an adult nature and prizes. Some of the prizes included a 56″ TV, Sony Playstation 4 and more. So this was definitely a big event.
For the first hour of each night I would photograph red carpet style photographs. There were some props people could wear such as feather boas, 1920’s style hats, and more. However, most people were in costume and roaring 20’s dress anyway. Mucho fun.
It’s a good thing I finally saw the Great Gatsby movie. I never did read the book in high school. Depending on what school you went to that was pretty much assigned reading. I guess I missed out 🙁
But I did sample the crepes. They had cherry jubilee and bananas foster crepes. Both were awesome although I think I would go with the cherries. And they had other food such as a potato bar, a meat station, and others.
A lot of fun at these parties. And it was some good practice for wedding season.
