Shirtless Male Model in Studio, Hooray Objectification

by dav.d

It is always fun to have a model or two I can call up and have them be a practice model. Studio lighting requires either a mannequin or a model. I like to work with real people so mannequins are out of the question.

I have worked with Weston a few times and he always brings his A Game. It was winter and show a studio shoot kept us out of the cold and we were able to spend the day using light to create different shadows to bring out Weston’s physique. While everyone is objectifying women I am doing my best to level the playing field by objectifying men. Fair is fair. And we keep everything professional.

There are so many ways to use studio lighting. We have some shots with the light coming from behind the model. Others we do primarily edge lighting so it wraps around the body. It can shape and create. The shadows can hide.
