Rachel’s Headshots in Studio

by dav.d

Rachel was in need of some updated headshots. She recently completed school and needed some professional photos for LinkedIn and other websites. We photographed in the Draper studio and we had access to several different backgrounds and there is a private changing room so different outfits is easy breezy and convenient.

For each headshot session we can spend up to an hour. Sometimes it takes a person a little while to feel comfortable in front of the camera. We want you comfortable and looking great. We don’t want to wear you out then, portraits don’t look good when you run out of steam. So there is that magical middle. And you have access to all the surviving digital photos from a headshot shoot. You’re able to go and find the headshot you like the most… which is important. I do weed out the blinks and goofy expressions. I capture a lot of people talking since we are having a full fledge conversation during the photo shoot. My hope is the conversation is relaxing and your expression will be more natural.

There are a bunch of other tips. Maybe I should make a video. That could be entertaining.
