Who doesn’t like a surprise photo shoot on a Friday afternoon? The video team at my day job needed photos of 3 particular products together. They were having a dilly of a pickle finding these photos in the archives so they asked if I could photograph them. I was able to setup, photograph, and edit the photos in about an hour. Pretty slick! I can’t promise that kind of turn around most of the time, but if it is urgent, it can be done.
And I love options, so I shot the products in a logical side by side setup and then I got a little creative by stacking. Given more time, I could have spend more time arranging the products. And the lighting is a standard style for Nu Skin products. Styles change over time, but it is important to be consistent with a company’s brand.
Here is a behind the scenes view of my setup. I’m using one light with a softbox tethered to a laptop computer. The Capture One software is the best way to shoot tethered, in my opinion. It is quick, I can get a live preview on the computer and the image quality is amazing.
You’ll also notice, safety first. The orange sandbags keep the light stands from falling over and hurting anyone or the gear.
