Holy Cow, I could have spent all day photographing cars and car details at Prestman Auto. The assignment was to photograph the sales staff and the dealership itself. And they have a dang Ferrari!? That is freaking awesome. I had enough time that I was able to play with a few different lighting techniques and even some HDR for the building and the cars. This is some fun commercial work.
Capturing the details and creative angle is a freedom of having time to explore. Framing shots with a modern Ferrari, Classic 57 Chevy and the stop light in the background, and get the license plate with the sales pitch. Hopefully this captures the flavor of Prestman Auto in one photograph.
I wanted to get individual photographs of each of the sales people. I had them pick a car to pose with. In this case he picked the red Mercedes, which had just arrived and was being cleaned.
It is a tradition at Prestman Auto to have a photograph of the car, person buying the car and the sales person. So we did that here with most the staff jumping or being jumped over.
Panoramas are just for landscapes. I wanted to capture the whole view as you enter the dealership. What better way than to create a panorama?
And they have more than cars apparently. I photographed this Harley with just one light. Like I said, I could photograph cars all day.
