June 4th was Force for Good Day for Nu Skin. The company celebrated their 35th anniversary and they held several service projects around the world. My job as photographer was to cover the opening ceremony, garbage pick up in Provo’s Rock Canyon, and then the BBQ with JDawgs and ice cream sandwiches from Penguin Brothers.
Employees brought their families to the service projects. It’s a great chance to teach your kids the value of work.
Any chance for a group photograph is a great idea. We photographed the people before the cleanup began. Never wait till afterwards—people disappear.
Utah is a beautiful state! The weather was perfect. I will miss spring, it is mild compared to the hot summer days.
There were random people enjoying the canyons and nature. We spotted these rock climbers enjoying the cliffs of insanity. This is the same canyon where I spotted and photographed some base jumpers years ago.
Kids are adorable, well, most kids are. And this one is just a little small for his t-shirt. I made the photos I took available to all the employees as well. Who doesn’t want great photographs of their kids?
JDawgs has become quite the tradition at Nu Skin. They specialize in hot dogs and polish dogs. I load mine up with peppers, onions, and mustard. It almost overwhelms the hot dog.
And since is was the 35th anniversary of Nu Skin, they had hand-packed ice cream sandwiches from Penguin Brothers. It is always fun to photograph the behind the scenes of an artisanal food truck or food booth. Heck, it would be fun to try some video as well. Although, we have a dedicated video team.
And there were lawn games, photo booths, and more for people to have a fun summer time.
