Yep, it is possible to have a photo shoot in February and the middle of winter. We photographed Brady at the Utah State Capitol. We started outside and braved the cold for a few minutes and then we moved indoors. I like to schedule photo shoots a little bit before sunset—usually an hour before sunset. The light is nicer and you might be lucky and get a nice golden sunset.
We photographed on the south side where there was light and the ability to photograph overlooking the Salt Lake Valley. It is nice to find one location that is versatile and we can get a number of different looks without too much travel. So the Utah State Capitol is nice with outdoors and indoors as options.
Sure people have camera phones a people seem to like the quality of the phones. Will they ever replace a real photographer? Maybe. But a real photographer has a lot of advantages including an artistic vision that a phone can’t simply replace.
