At work we found 3 everyday models to volunteer their arms for the new shades for POWERLips Fluid. Makeup can look different on different skin tones and we found 3 employees—hence the everyday model—to share their time and forearms.
We used tape to mask out the square shapes. This helped create uniform sizes, lines, and shape. I’m not a makeup artist but I was able to help out.
We then photographed the models’ arm in different combinations. It was pretty cool to see the difference that shows for black, brown, or white skin. And with great diversity comes great responsibility—hopefully potential customers can see the shades that would work best for their skin tones.
And I am thankful for the in house retoucher at Nu Skin. She is awesome at color correction and very detail oriented. And she did a great job touching up skin as well.
This might go under the category of unusual for a photo shoot. But social media is constantly on the look for new and more unique photography and video. And it was a fun time had by all.
