I had the opportunity to photograph the fine people at the Spinal Interventions. I have photographed their employees a few times over the last few years. This year we had 4 individual photos. They wanted headshots and full length portraits. They also wanted a group photograph.
And for social media we did a fun group photograph as well.
And these are the various individual portraits. We shoot these vertical so they can be printed for a picture frame.
I try and recreate the same lighting setup from the very first photo shoot for the clinic. At the time I was imitating the lighting pattern of their existing portraits, which were shot by another photographer. The background is black and I am using just 2 lights for these photos.
To shoot these portraits, I bring a 9 foot wide black seamless background. It is rolled paper that barely fits into my car. I bring along my studio lighting, camera, lenses, and we’re able to photograph in the main lobby of the building. We’re shooting at 7am, so we are not in the way of other offices or people. It’s us and the cleaning crew, so we’re good to go! I was there 20 minutes before hand to setup the background and the lighting. Woo hoo!
