I was the wedding photographer for Stan & McKenzie’s wedding in South Jordan’s Pioneer Hall. The wedding reception was held a week later at a swimming pool.
The Pioneer Hall is a small building right next to a cemetery. They were able to get quite a number of people into the Hall. They first held the ceremony and then after the ceremony they replaced the chairs with tables for dinner and dessert.
The wedding party was pretty large. They had 3 flower girls and several bubble boys. One of the boys was also the ring bearer. But the bubble boys had bubble spraying guns.
The ceremony was held on top of the stage which made it easy to see the events unfold.
After the ceremony we photographed indoors with the bride, groom, and wedding party. I wanted to take advantage of the Christmas style lights. With the fancy lenses I use I can make it look like a shower of light in the background. It looks pretty cool.
I love this photo! It looks like a flower girl with her muscle as a security detail.
We then moved outside to photograph the bride & groom with the full wedding party and the families.
While we were photographing some family and friends decided to toilet paper the bride and groom with some novelty toilet paper. When these things happen I just snap the camera and hope to get some fun candid moments.
Behind the bride and groom is a cemetery. With my camera settings I am able to blur the background and with the backlight from the sun we have some awesome photographs during the golden hour. Yay! This is the best time of day for portraits.
McKenzie is a big fan of Disney (who isn’t) and I happened to go to Disneyland the week between the wedding and the reception. So I picked up some bride themed Mini Mouse ears. And they match the wedding dress, yay!
I’m mixing up the formal portraits with some detail shots of the candy, cupcakes, and treats from the wedding reception.
And I try to photograph the rings in the bouquet.
