If you’re a dog person, you’re in luck! If you’re a cat person, I can’t help you today.
I was hired to photograph the latest products for Rocco & Roxie. They have a new lineup of bandanas in different styles and two sizes for your little dog and your big dog. I’ll be blogging the product photographs soon, in the meantime check out the lifestyle photographs that will be used in their social media marketing. We cropped all the photographs square so they work great on Instagram.
To shoot these photographs we used a park in Provo. I rented a nice battery powered light for this shoot. It had a large light modifier so the dogs would look their best, even if they moved around. The secret is to photograph them while on the leash and then remove the leash afterwards using Photoshop. And the other trick is to have the owner or trainer right behind the photographer’s head to get the dog’s attention.
We had 3 dogs to work with. One of the dogs, the larger labradoodle, is named Rocco! We have to move quickly and keep the dogs happy and away from each other. Photographing children and animals are the big challenges in life. At least according to Hollywood insiders.
