Get used to it, these are photos from a year ago! My New March Resolution is to blog and share photos more often. And here are the engagement photos of Josie & Alex. We photographed at Bridal Veil Falls in early Spring. There was still snow and mud on the ground. We had to cautiously move around areas because some shoes don’t do so well with the snow and the ice.
Josie and Alex met while they were serving LDS missions in Arizona. They became friends after the mission and were soon engaged. They are a fun couple and would you believe it? Alex is shy in front of the camera. The secret to engagement photos is to put on all the PDA (Public Displays of Affection) that would normal get you shunned. But you turn it up to 11.
So hand holding, whispering in the ear, canoodling, glances, and lifts are all welcome.
Josie brought her sister and a cousin. They were kind enough to be the photo assistants for the day. Woo hoo! Who doesn’t love photo assistants. Since I bring enough equipment for any situation it can be fun moving things. I usually bring some lighting along because EVERYONE LOOKS BETTER WITH LIGHTING!
And it was warm enough that we were able to spend about an hour and a half outside… if Josie was cold she didn’t show it.
For locations, Josie and Alex wanted somewhere that feature mountains. So we picked Bridal Veil Falls which is in Provo Canyon. We were able to get some epic views with mountain ranges with snow. But the important part of any photograph is the couple. Focus on the bride and groom, and we’ve got a great photograph.
This year, we are alternating between winter and spring. I don’t know if Spring will ever take foot and stay here. We should be getting greenery and flowers soon! It’ll be a great time for engagement photos once again.
