Get ready for a big post of photos! Johnny needed a large variety of photos for his new website to promote his various talents. In addition to a day job, he is an actor, model, event organizer, and I’m sure he fights crime at night. I’m not saying he’s Batman, but they haven’t been seen together in the same room at the same time. Just saying.
Johnny had a list of several movies to draw inspiration for clothing, locations, and scenes. LA LA Land was one of those movies. He had rented an event center in downtown SLC that had a small piano to recreate the moody piano scene from the movie. We also borrowed the front steps of a local “lodge.”
We also photographed in Studio o2o in Draper. I’ve been using the studio for years! It’s great for portraits. We took advantage of the different brick, seamless paper backgrounds, and reclaimed wood wall.
It’s Miami Vice… or at least a recreation of the look.
We have LA LA Land and The Great Gatsby as inspiration here.
We used the pool at Johnny’s apartment. We tried to stay out of the way of the other residents. We don’t want to be “those people.”
Johnny has this rainbow suit for various Pride events. And I did some color correction to fix some of the balloons that weren’t quite the right color. I’m a man of many Photoshop skills.
Here are a few more fitness photos. We used the gym at the apartment complex. We did some boxing, weight lifting, and tennis. It was a hot day in August for this shoot. Hooray for bottled water.
This photo shoot took 3 different days to complete. We shot them all in one week. Johnny picked his favorite photographs for me to retouch. Woo hoo!
