Scroll down if you are here for the dogs’ corporate headshots. They’re worth it.
I’ve been working with Erno & Christina on their metal roofing business for about 10 years now. It’s amazing how time flies. I designed the logo and versions of several of their websites. I have also been a regular photographer for headshots, product shots, and even architecture.
They needed updated corporate headshots for them and their marketing team. And while we were at it, we photographed their two dogs Wolfgang and Daphne. The people behaved great for their portraits, the dogs were a little bit of a challenge but we managed.
I brought my lighting to their office. We used one of the white walls to photograph them. I did have a white background just in case we needed it. I set up in their office space, they had just enough room and we created these portraits for each one. I picked the best photos and retouched them for them as needed. Easy, easy.
Erno also wanted to document himself with his meisterbrief, which is documentation from Europe for his training and apprenticeship in metal roofing. It’s a long and hard process to receive this and it’s a big deal to have earned one. It helps set apart their business from all the others.
After the humans, we photographed the dogs. Their both beautiful golden retrievers. They were a bit camera shy and shy of me as well. But we were able to get them to sit still and look toward the camera. I did have to do a little retouching to remove the leash we used to hold them in place. I’ve learned a few tricks for dog photography. Next time, we should photograph them in a park. But since they should be the corporate mascots and management, these are corporate style photos.
