Grand Opening to for Studio o2o in Draper

by dav.d

The studio that I use down in Draper recently had a major overhaul. They expanded and they now have 2 rooms for photography. Woo hoo!

To celebrate they have changed the name of the studio to Studio o2o. And they also had an open house with some models, makeup artists, and everyone could bring a camera and do some shooting. The makeup artist is Robin Bodily and she does some amazing work. She once turned me into a zombie for a stock photo shoot.

Shooting in studio is nice because you have access to a bunch of lights. Some big softboxes, umbrellas, and a host of modifiers. You can rent the studio by the hour, or several hours. I highly recommend it.

One reason I like photographing in studio is to use the photographs in Photoshop to create a composite. I take the model and a background photograph and combine them. It takes some practice and some work and it can be pretty cool in the end.

In fact this Sunday I have a shoot scheduled. That photoshop composite project is going to be awesome!
