Fun home was performed by the Salt Lake Acting Company. The play follows a sketch artist who digs into the family memories in the old family home. The home feels more like a museum and the actor comes to terms with her dad’s closeted lifestyle and her own orientation and the missed opportunities in life to come out to each other.
It’s aways fun photographing the play. Sometimes I am recreating photos that other plays have created. Most times I am just capturing the scene as it unfolds. Sometimes I photograph the whole play, other times we photograph just specific scenes.
And with advancements in digital photography, the images are amazing reproductions of real life. Even when shooting in dark situations.
