For the past few years I have had the opportunity to photograph the sunglass event of the year at Frameworks. They are located in Sandy and as one way to market themselves they host this little get together. There are desserts, champagne, music spun by DJ Harry Cross Jr., amazing deals on sunglasses. It is a paid gig for me but I have been buying sunglasses at the party because of the huge discounts. I am a fan of the Oakley sunglasses btw. Anything polarized and I am happy as a clam.
Events like this help me pad my food photography portfolio. They had a pastry chef create these pink frosted cookies, extreme brownies, lemon tarts with blueberries and other items. I’m dieting this year but I might have to have a cheat meal for the upcoming party in April. Follow them on Facebook to stay in the know.
And for people who are wary of buying nice sunglasses, I just to buy the cheap ones. Since I started buying nice sunglasses I haven’t been losing or breaking them. When you spend some good money on glasses you mentally want to take care of them. Knock on wood, I don’t want to jinx myself.
So I hope to see you in April. Should be fun and bring your credit card, you’ll want to pick up a pair or two. Oh, and I will have my camera there and we will be giving out the photographs for free on Facebook. Then you can show your friends how great you look in some Oakleys, Ray-bans or Gucci.
