The Dead Sea Scrolls are coming to Salt Lake City, Utah. Never before have so many scrolls left Israel before. With cooperation with the LDS Church, Israel, and the US Government the scrolls will be featured at The Leonardo for a few months. To celebrate, there was a VIP party and I was the food photographer for the evening. Le Croissant Catering was there catering the fine dining experience.
I recognized a number of politicians, TV personality, and even a former Jazz basketball player.
The party began downstairs with h’orderves, wine, and socializing. And I was running between that party and the preparation upstairs. There was an elevator thank goodness so I was part event photographer, catering photographer and food photographer. Ack! I was able to make the food look amazing. We even set up a plate of the roast beef with pomegranate glace. The blackberry and walnut salad looked divine and everything looked good on my camera.
Downstairs The Leonardo has a fun LED light wall that I was able to use for some of the photography. It often became a rainbow background for the event.
After the event and dinner people went downstairs for the crepe bar which feature berries, crepes, and an edible flower. I may have sampled one or two.
