I had the chance to do some family photography in studio. They even brought the family dogs! We photographed on a few different background including white, black, muslin, and I even used photoshop on one photograph to change the background to aspen trees. We also photographed some individual portraits. I’m a strong believer in the individual photos… they are great to print and frame for the desk or work environment. And who knows if you need one for emergencies.
For the jumping photos we shot each person one at a time and using Photoshop I then created one large photo of the whole family jumping. This gives the illusion everyone jumped at once. Mom and dad even jumped with the family dogs.
In studio we have a few different options for backgrounds. We have different colors, faux brick, faux stone, solid white, and more. And studio makes it easy to knock the people out with Photoshop and replace the background with an outdoors image. Sure we can photograph in front of aspens but sometimes the photo shoot is in winter… and people may not be able to make it to the mountains. It does take more work with Photoshop but we have full control.
We also photographed each individual. These are always important in my opinion.
And the last photo is the Composite into a aspen forest.
