I was at work one day when I get a frantic phone call. A bride and groom were at the Provo City Center Temple, ready to make their exit, and their wedding photographer was not there. I fortunately had a camera and some lenses on me so I walked next door and photograph the couple exit the LDS temple. We then started photographing the family and friend group photos with the bride and groom until the wedding photographer they had hired arrived. I learned in Boy Scouts, always be prepared! And I always carry my cellphone with me, and I try to get back to voice mails and text messages quickly.
It was a beautiful day. There was a videographer with his second shooter present. So we played nice together and created some fun photos. I was shooting with my Fuji camera, which gives a more classic film look. I might have to use that camera more often for weddings. Woo hoo!
This was my first time shooting a wedding at the Provo City Center Temple. I’ve photographed the Provo Tabernacle burn and then took snap shots as the temple was built from the brick walls. It’s a beautiful temple. I would love, love, love to photograph another couple there. I’m in the area, call me!
Afterwards I did send the photographer and family the RAW files via Dropbox. That was the fastest assignment ever. I was hired and done in 2 hours. Less than an hour to photograph and then the RAW files were delivered soon after.
So hire me for your temple wedding! Wedding packages include a complimentary engagement shoot.
