I have been the food photographer for Le Croissant Catering for a few years now. They are definitely great people to work with and this past summer I had the chance to photograph their catering and desserts for an event in Orem.
If you’re on a diet you should just skip this blog post. These are a bunch of delicious desserts and I did not include all of the desserts. I also photographed the macaroons and several other desserts, tacos, and hot dog stand.
People often ask if a food photographer can eat the food after the fact… when it is catered, yes, you can sample. The most photogenic were the blackberry mini cupcakes. I probably spent more time trying to get better and better photos of these creations.
Small desserts like these photograph well in patterns. You could photograph one or two but they really look great on a tray in rows and columns.
Le Croissant Catering has expanded with a pastry chef and folks that specialize in cakes and desserts.
You can see some of the wedding cakes they’ve created, their artisan donuts that were made on site and deliciously decorated, and one of their events at the Natural History Museum in Salt Lake City.
And next month I’ll be photographing a ginormous wedding for them in Park City. They cater weddings and corporate events.
