I am finally posting photos from Carolyn & Kaiya’s summer wedding! You can see their engagement session here. The wedding was a backyard wedding in Salt Lake City. It had a Hawai’ian theme and a donut wedding cake! In fact, the flowers for the wedding cake had been hand painted.
It can be a bit of a squeeze to fit everyone, but they were able to manage and the whole wedding went off with a hitch… get it? They got hitched? Huh? Ok, I’m losing my audience…
LGBT weddings tend to go a bit non-traditional. In this case both brides walked down the aisle together. And often times children from one of the individuals get to be part of the ceremony. Hooray flower girls!
And the officiant was Christopher T. Scuderi who officiates a lot of LGBT weddings.
We made the family portraits cozy… everyone gets close. We always start with both sides of the family and work our way down to the smaller groups.
The shed matched their wedding bouquets! I don’t think the couple had noticed until I photographed them with the shed.
The couple’s donut wedding cake is significant because the first date involved donuts and discussing literature late into the next morning.
This photo is here because Hawai’ian beverages are cool.
