Social media seems to be taking over the internet. And more and more, my job at my day job is to help create content for social media platforms. Yesterday I created photographs for Nu Skin’s Instagram stories, Facebook stories, and even some posts to celebrate the return of the school year. Autumn is almost here!
The social media department picked a few products that students might take in their bags. These included Pharmanex Pure Lift Watermelon, AP 24 Anti-Plaque Breath Spray, AP 24 Smile Pop Lip Gloss, Epoch Hand Sanitizer, and Sunright Lip Balm. I don’t know if that means they think students spend a lot of time kissing, but I digress.
They also brought along notepads, backpacks, water bottles, pencils, and erasers. They went for colors that are similar to the branding. They left it up to me to put product together to make things look awesome. So I would come up with captions or tag lines that might work for the various photos.
We shot most of these on a white seamless. I think I want to go shopping and pick up more colors. That would be fun for a variety of photographs in the future. I’ll add that to the checklist.
This was a fun photograph. The colors of the granola bars are similar to our 7 new brand colors at Nu Skin.
For the last shot, we went outside to a shaded part of the lawn in the back. And I styled this photograph. Trying to make it look like a student just spread out ready to write the Great American Novel. Or British novel… or some kind of novel. Maybe a book report.
