I’ve had the opportunity to do some photography for Ballet West and this time I was the event photographer for one of their parties after a performance of Romeo & Juliet. There were Masquerade masks and hor d’oeuvres available. And a good time was had by all!
For all events I love capturing candid moments, group photos, and details. In many ways, we’re not just photographing that event, we’re photographing for future events. These photos will be shared on social media and will be shared again when the next party is going to be held. The details and the fun will help sell future events.
And I try to blend in to these events as much as possible. I was wearing a mask while photographing. Not an easy feat! And with a big camera and flash, I still stick out a little bit.
This was a cute scene. The little guy wanted to meet his hero, the lead ballerina. Good thing I was close by to create this photograph. Sometimes an iPhone isn’t enough.
