Ainsley had her baby blessing on Sunday. She wore a dress brought across the plains of the United States and it’s believed the dress is over 113 years old.
So I was the photographer to photograph the family with her parents and her older brother Asher. She had her up and down moments. Usually, you hope the baby is sleeping for most the events. Otherwise, if they’re awake, they’re crying, feeding, or causing a bit of a ruckus.
And sometimes people are short! Little Asher is about 2 or 3 feet tall so if the parents are comfortable kneeling down, it can be fun to take a photo at kid level. Or the parents can hold the little ones—we did both for this shoot.
And we got little Asher to smile! I did a family photo shoot of this tiny family about a year ago and he did not want to smile. I think many tears were shed at that shoot. So this was a little bit of a miracle.
We also photographed mom and daughter together. Blythe has shared on her Facebook page the struggles they have faced to conceive and deliver a child. In short, they had to go through IVF and other proceedures. I can’t imagine the struggle, and it was eye opening to watch her updates as they visited doctors and fertility clinics. That is why Ainsley is their second little miracle.
Here is Little Baby Ainsley® in her pioneer style baby blessing gown. She’s a rockstar in their family.
The whole photo shoot lasted about 15 minutes, with a few candid photos of getting Ainsley dressed. Precious moments.
And I do find it a little hilarious that my last blog post was about my night club photography and today’s post is all about a little girl and her baby blessing. Hooray for variety in life.
