You can’t go wrong with a Studio 54 themed event—even in Utah that can be quite popular. The Salt Lake Acting Company hired me as the event photographer for their party and of course the 70s were is full overload with disco, costumes, drinking, and games. I was there to photograph the red carpet step-and-repeat. A step-and-repeat is an area where people can pose for a photograph as they enter a party. Sometimes it is filled with paparazzi, but in this case, it was just me. But I did have two studio lights to make people look amazing in their 70s themed clothing.
In addition to the step-and-repeat, I was photographing the event in general. This included the food, drinks, entertainment, decorations, dancing, people, and everything. People want photos of the selves and vendors want photographs of them in action. So if you photograph events, be sure to get the details. People paid good money for them and they may use those photos in their future marketing. So here is realtor DJ Babs Delay spinning the hits.
I’m not entirely sure what the bobbing for rubber duckies is, but I am sure there is a prize available. There was also bowling for liquor prizes, and other fun activities.
And the Salt Lake Acting Company always entertains with their dance numbers or vocal performances. This event is used as a fundraiser and to build their subscribership. And it helps lead to more brave and thought provoking plays. Hooray.
