You can get a portrait in studio and you can not. In this blog post we follow Chuck as we spend the day with him. We photograph his morning routine, hitting the gym, and then heading to work as a therapist. I would call this a “Day in the Life of…” And this can be called lifestyle photography. The key thing is we’re creating portraits of someone doing something.
We recreated his morning routine of waking up and then enjoying a morning coffee and cigarette. We then recreated a typical day by visiting the gym and the heading to work. Chuck was able to get permission to photograph in the gym before hand. This kind of thing is important.
Trax doesn’t like it when people photograph on their station. I guess it is a problem if you get caught. We keep it light and mobile in these cases.
Here are the gym photos. We spent about a hour in the gym. During the day it isn’t too busy and it was probably one reason we were able to get permission to photograph in the gym, lol.
Here is the artsy photograph. A chair in the middle of the street. These days it seems like everyone pulls a couch or sofa to the middle of nowhere for a photo shoot. This was our chance!
We don’t have to spend the whole day on a photo shoot like this. It could be something simple like the family making cookies and decorating them! It would be a unique photo shoot and something you and your family would treasure for ever!
