Strap in, this engagement photo shoot has about 27 photographs because there were so many fun ones. A photographer goes in with certain ideas for poses, locations, and what to capture. Well, we through out most of those with Kyle & Bri.
Engagement photos at Publik Coffee in SLC
Bri is a pin up model in her spare time. And Kyle has a mother who is a longtime photographer. So being in front of the camera doesn’t phase them at all. In fact they start to act up in front of the lens. The goal of any shoot should capture the personality of the people in front of the lens. And there was a lot of personality to be had.

So piggyback rides and kung fu fighting were part of many of the locations we visited. I just had my light strategically placed and then Kyle and Bri would just fill the camera. I would change the composition, but I let them do their thing with some suggestions occasionally.
Gonna fly
Going into the photo shoot, they mentioned we could use the Publik Coffee event space. Their wedding would be held at that same spot in May. And they had their first date at a coffee shop, and coffee is bigly important for them. They also wanted the photographs right out of the camera. I always will check with people and couples on the type of touch ups they would like.

I love old signs. Painted signs on brick buildings are really cool.
Shooting on weekends often means we won’t annoy local businesses. So we can photograph near cool properties without being in the way.
