I was hired to photograph the lead ballerina at Ballet West. The costume is for the Nutcracker as it will be performed this year. Also there was an artist who will take one of the photos and create a pastel drawing that will be used for the cover of the program. Pretty dang cool!

We photographed at the Ballet West Academy and I brought my portable lighting kit and a large black seamless backdrop. The background color was chosen by Ballet West. The artist also brought a camera to snap a few photographs as well. And we created a few “behind the scenes” photos that will be used to tell the story of the program cover’s creation. Pretty cool.
