Yep, always carry a camera with you if you want to capture the unexpected moments. And often, your phone’s camera isn’t going to cut it. These photographs of the moon were created with my Fuji camera and the longest lens I have for that camera. At 200mm the moon just barely shows up in the photos. Fortunately, there are some awesome cloud patterns that give the photo more texture, composition, and a bit more story.
Sunset is almost always the best time to photograph almost everything. People look great, landscape photos look great, buildings look great at sunset or sunrise. In the Salt Lake Valley, due to the mountains, sunset isn’t the greatest since the sun has to get to a certain elevation but sometimes we are surprised. So it is the sunsets that bring the pinks, oranges, and reds that kick butt for photography.
And these photographs may be used in future Photoshop projects. They have great texture and color. And sometimes, I really wish I and a super telephoto lens to really get close. It is just fun to dream of new gear I suppose.
And the weekend is here! I hope y’all have a good weekend. The summer is drawing to a close. Pumpkin Spice lattes are back at Starbucks. Football is in the air. Autumn is almost here! I’m looking forward to the autumn photography. Keep watching the autumn leaves.
