Waiting for Spring Blossoms, Photographed with Film

by dav.d

Spring is quickly approaching. I’ve got my camera with me all the time so I can go on quick photowalks when the opportunity arises. These are some flower photographs I created a few years back using a film camera and the newest Kodak Portra 400 film. I am debating which of these photographs I should print and hang on my wall. Photographs are just digital files until a print is made. And it is much easier to enjoy when they are out for the world to see.

Pink Cherry Blossoms Welcome Spring

As the weather warms up I am hoping to venture out and photograph more. The winter weather certainly puts a damper on photography, unfortunately. Fewer people want to brave the chill for an hour or two. And with Spring, the world becomes much more photogenic. I’m keeping an eye out for new green grass, trees growing new leaves, and of course the flower blossoms.

Yellow Tulips, a Sure Sign of Spring

Spring is definitely my favorite time of the year. It means winter is behind us, we thaw out, summer is just around the corner, and I can wear shorts! It is also the sign that Wedding season is right around the corner. So much potential!

Beautiful White & Pink Flowers

These flowers were all photographed in Provo, Utah. My day job is in downtown Provo, right on Center Street and it is a great source for flower photography and it happens to be a favorite location to photograph people’s portraits. So if you are thinking of locations for some photos, it’s a great place and I would love to photograph you!
