Family Portraits
Every family is unique and often the price will be determined by how large the family will be. Will grandparent be there? Will there be more than one family unit? Do we want to pick a location that has a fee for photography? Studio rentals can start at $60 an hour. Locations such as Red Butte Gardens have a photography fee.
A single-family session with about an hour of shooting starts at $500. The edited digital photos are included with the photo shoot.
Headshots
Everyone should have some current headshots. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, your PowerPoint presentation all want you looking your best.
A 20-minute headshot session starts at $200. If we’re shooting in studio, I just add the studio rental fee to the price of the session. You get 3 edited photographs, and you can also have the other unretouched photos.
Weddings
I have 2 basic wedding packages. Both wedding packages include a complimentary engagement session. The engagement session can be used as a bridal session. Some have even used the session for a quick family photo shoot (don’t tell anyone).
The first wedding package is a 4-hour wedding package. This is great for small weddings and even Latter-Day Saint weddings at the temple and then a reception spot later in the day. This package starts at $1400. The digital photos are included along with the complimentary engagement session.
The second wedding package is an 8-hour wedding package. This package starts at $2500. The digital photos are included along with the complimentary engagement session.
If you need more hours to either package we can add them at $350 an hour.
Commercial, Product, and Food photography
Pricing will be broken into two parts. The first is the time required to photograph. The other factor is the time spent in Photoshop. Other factors just as makeup artists, locations, props, rentals, location fees will be extra.
A basic guideline for my commercial photography is $300 an hour of shooting and a day rate of $1500. So there is some savings for a day of shooting. This is the general pricing for commercial, product, or food photography.
Photoshop is $50 an hour. I will try and give an estimate based on the number of final photos. The amount of time spent in Photoshop is also determined by photos that are good enough, great, or perfection. The more perfection, the more time spent, and the price goes up.

General information on pricing
There can be several factors that determine pricing. Shooting on holiday may result in a higher price. Location can be a factor. There are a number of commercial locations that have a location fee and it might be worth it for an engagement shoot or commercial location. Do we need an assistant? Do we need a second photographer? Or rent some gear?
