I was the event photographer for Intermountain Health Care’s ribbon cutting on their new Pedersen Tower in Provo. The shot list including photographing the speakers, ribbon cutting (with a chainsaw), catering by Culinary Crafts, and the design of the event by Silver Summit.
This was a huge event with some amazing details. Frozen flowers in ice sculptures look so cool. And the winter theme looked beautiful with the white and blue color scheme. I forget the name of the florist. Ack!
It was crunch time, so I didn’t have enough time to use a light, but the afternoon light was enough to make things look amazing already.
The desserts were a little too much fun to photograph. These were in the preparation tent and it looks like they go on forever.
The governor was invited, but unable to attend so his wife was there to represent.
The Pedersens own Vivint and were able to donate $10 million to the new tower so they had the honor of cutting the ribbon of ice with a chainsaw. Now that’s a ribbon cutting!
There was an award winning dance duo that performed. I didn’t catch their name unfortunately.
The night ended with Gentri performing. They had performed at my company’s Christmas party in December and their voices are amazing. It’s a fun evening when they’re the entertainment.
