WALL·E on the Bonneville Salt Flats

I love movies. They are a great source of creative inspiration for story, color, style, lighting, and more.

I have also had it as a goal to create 300 Photoshop composites. It is a project that is taking me longer than expected but I am definitely making progress. One of the things I wanted to try was to use photographs from my camera phone in some of my creations. You aren’t always able to carry a big camera into some situations and if you can at least capture a good enough file from the phone, it would be fun to try and create something with it.

In this case, WALL·E was photographed with my iPhone. WALL·E is a 2 inch action figure I bought off of Amazon and he sits next to some minions from Despicable Me. (I’m a bit of a geek, btw) This was my chance to use elements from my phone and create a photo realistic image. I think it works!

The background is the Bonneville Salt Flats as the sun is setting. There were even some tire tread that seem to work well with WALL·E’s moving tracks. Lots of fun!
