Salt Lake Acting Company Presents the Play RED

by dav.d

Red is a Broadway play brought to the Salt Lake Acting Company. It follows painter Mark Rothko as he paints murals for an upscale Four Seasons restaurant. The play is a two person play where his fictional assistant questions his commercial work.

I did not have the opportunity to see this play. From what I understand it is fabulous and it calls into question our own motives if we sellout for commercial gain or are we true to our own self and our own art. I’m sure there is a lesson to be learned.
